Ukrenergo warns that the next days will be tough for the Ukrainian energy sector
In addition to damage to the grid, a cold spell is approaching and then an increase in electricity consumption.
This was announced by Volodymyr Kudrytskyy, head of Ukrenergo, on the air of Yedyniye Novosti.
The biggest attack on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure happened yesterday. Because of this, the load on the energy system will increase. After all, in addition to grid damage, cold weather and then increased electricity consumption are approaching.
According to Kudrytskyy, the most difficult situation is now in western Ukraine, as well as in the central and northeastern regions. Emergency shutdown schedules have been applied to stabilize the Ukrenergo energy system, thanks to which Ukraine has avoided a blackout, or complete blackout of the country
At the same time, the next few days will be difficult: colder weather is approaching and electricity consumption will increase, so will the load on the grid. Therefore, please be sensitive to the outages that will be implemented as needed, and do not abandon the habit of using electricity sparingly.
