Ukrainians in Poland to have their social benefits withdrawn - who is affected
Poland plans to review social payments received by Ukrainian refugees. Some of them will be canceled and demanded to be returned.

The inspection will affect those Ukrainians who left the territory of Poland for more than 30 days and received social assistance. The amendments to the law on assistance, which came into force on 28 January, allow for this.
In one month of the amendments, about 3,200 citizens of Ukraine have been deprived of payments. All of them violated the law by leaving Poland for more than 30 days.
It is noted that if Ukrainians who left Poland return within 30 days, they will not lose the legality of their stay in Poland and their welfare payments will be resumed.
