The validity of visas for Ukrainians extended until the end of January 2024.
Ukrainian refugees in Israel have had their visas extended until the end of 2024 and their employment simplified. This was reported on the Israeli government portal.
As Israeli Interior Minister Moshe Arbel explained, Tel Aviv has updated the policy regarding the stay of Ukrainian citizens in Israel, taking into account "the passage of time and experience gained".
Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war are now allowed to be employed, provided that 90 days have passed since their entry into Israel and they have a Ukrainian passport. At the same time, the employer is required to verify that his employee actually has a Ukrainian passport and whether he is in Israel for more than 90 days.
It was also decided to extend visa type B/2 (tourist) visas until January 31, 2024, for Ukrainian citizens who were legally in Israel on the day of the full-scale Russian invasion or entered Israel after it began.
Once this period is over, the visas will be reviewed," the website notes.
We would like to add that currently there are no mass arrivals of new refugees from Ukraine in Israel. In total, Israel has received about 15,000 refugees from Ukraine.
