Ukrainians will make fewer gifts for winter holidays - survey
The part of Ukrainians who will give gifts after the victory has grown by 4 percentage points.
On winter holidays 76% of Ukrainians will give gifts. This is less than in 2022. This is stated in the survey Rakuten Viber, reports Socialportal.
More than 45 thousand users took part in the survey in the official channel Rakuten Viber Ukraine.
37% will give gifts as always - this is 10 percentage points less than last year. The part of Ukrainians who will give gifts already after the victory increased by 4 percentage points, - the poll said.
The results of the survey showed that 76% of Ukrainians will give gifts one way or another:
- 37% will give as always, because there should be a holiday in life,
- 23% will buy gifts only for children,
- 16% will stop at something smaller, but symbolic.
A quarter of respondents will not give anything this year:
- 18% will do it already after the victory,
- 6% will donate all their savings to foundations or the USS.
A similar survey was conducted in December 2022. The answers to the question "Will you give gifts for the winter holidays?" in December 2023 changed as follows:
- Of course! I will give as always, there should be a holiday in life - 37% (last year - 47%: the figure fell by 10 percentage points);
- This year I will buy gifts only for children - 23% (last year - 19%: the indicator increased by 4 percentage points);
- I am not giving gifts this year. I will do it after the victory - 18% (last year - 14%: the indicator increased by 4 percentage points);
- I will give something smaller, but symbolic and pleasant - 16% (last year - 15%, the indicator increased by 1 percentage point);
- I will not give a gift. I will donate all the saved money to funds or to the AFU to bring victory closer - 6% (last year - 5%: the indicator increased by 1 percentage point).
