The suspects are members of Putin's close entourage and are involved in the deportation of Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

Law enforcers have documented the crimes of two Russian women: Russian State Duma member Yana Lantratova and Inna Varlamova, the wife of the head of the Russian federal assembly faction, Sergey Mironov.

The defendants are members of Putin's close entourage and are involved in the deportation of Ukrainian children from the temporarily seized regions of our country," the SBU said.

According to the investigation, during the occupation of Kherson, the Russian women forcibly took two children from the local children's home - a newborn girl and a two-year-old boy - to the territory of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that before the deportation Lantratova and Varlamova visited Kherson in the form of an "official visit", during which they "examined" the children.

Two children from the city orphanage were taken to Moscow allegedly for recuperation in Russian medical centres. However, the investigation established that the children had no physical disabilities and did not need medical intervention.

After the de-occupation of Kherson, law enforcers searched the Children's Home, where they found fictitious documents on the export of minors to the Russian Federation with the signatures of Lantratova and Varlamova," the SBU added.

The women were informed of suspicion for violation of the laws and customs of war, forced individual or mass resettlement, or deportation of protected persons from the occupied territory to the territory of the occupying state, committed by prior conspiracy of a group of persons.

The perpetrators are now in the territory of the Russian Federation. Complex measures are being taken to bring them to justice.
