It is reported that among the bodies of the dead are those who died from the Russian terrorist attack in Yelenivka.
The negotiations were super difficult, but thanks to the painstaking work of the entire team of the Commissioner for Missing Persons Oleg Kotenko managed to return our soldiers, in particular the fighters from the long-suffering Yelenivka, — the Ministry's website says.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, the Russian occupiers killed about 40 Ukrainian prisoners of war in Yelenivka, another 130 fighters were wounded.
This was done on purpose in order to accuse Ukraine of "war crimes" and also to hide the facts of torture and shootings of Ukrainian fighters.
