Ukraine returns bodies of 80 more defenders
Today, 5 May, the bodies of 80 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine.
This was reported by the Coordinating Staff for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
It is noted that the transfer of the bodies was carried out in accordance with the Geneva Convention and in compliance with international humanitarian law.
Today, with the assistance of the Ministry of Reintegration and the Commissioner for Missing Persons in Special Circumstances, in cooperation with the law enforcement agencies, we managed to return the bodies of 80 defenders of Ukraine to their relatives," the statement said.

We would like to add that 2,279 Ukrainians have been returned from Russian captivity since the start of the full-scale invasion. It was recently reported that Ukrainian law enforcers are investigating crimes against Ukrainian POWs by the occupiers. Currently, there are 265 criminal proceedings in progress. In total, over 1,500 Ukrainian servicemen suffered from the crimes committed by the Russians, of whom 73 defending kafir were deliberately killed.
