U.S. detected "UFO" near nuclear base: Congress promised to look into the situation
A few days ago, eyewitnesses captured on video a "huge" UFO with "multiple flashing and rotating lights" just 60 miles from a US Air Force nuclear base.
The video was taken in Choteau, Montana, about an hour's drive from the famous Malmstrom Air Force Base, a popular UFO sighting spot. The author said his wife was so shocked by what she saw that she started shaking and crying. The author of the video posted it on the American resource Reddit.
Although the photos may not convey all the horror. The real observation of such a huge object hovering in the night sky directly above you evokes much stronger emotions," the author wrote.
The eyewitness noted that the alleged UFO was noticeable by the "rotating orange-red light below" and did not look like Ilon Musk's Starlink satellites, which are often mistaken for similar flying objects. He emphasised that he was familiar with Starlink satellites and it was not them, as the lights surrounded the large silhouette of the craft.
In the description, the author also added that the lights were not in isolation, they were surrounded by dense darkness. Therefore, he believes that it was something that looked like a disc-shaped object on the side.
US Congressional Reaction
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand said she hopes the upcoming Senate hearing on UFOs will help build public confidence in the Pentagon's Anomaly Authorisation Resolution Office (AARO) and encourage more people to report their sightings.
We want more people to be able to pass on information and requests knowing they have a platform to do so," she said.
Congress will hold new public hearings on the topic of UFOs in the coming weeks. They will take place amid a slew of bizarre claims by the US military about mysterious aerial phenomena, including admissions by former Pentagon official Luis Elizondo that he encountered an alien implant removed from a veteran's body.
What else is known about UFOs
Recall that this is not the first time that unidentified flying objects are noticed over the United States. So, in autumn 2023, the Pentagon published a report, according to which UFOs are regularly recorded in different places on Earth. Two observation points are located in the United States: on the coast of Florida and in California, between San Francisco and Los Angeles. In addition, objects were also spotted in the Middle East between Baghdad, Doha and Dubai. But in fourth place is Japan, an area near Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Back in the 1980s in the Pentagon there was a department for the investigation of anomalous phenomena. Specialists of the directorate note that over the past ten years - since 2014, UFO cases have increased. Only since 2019, 291 cases of observations of unidentified objects were recorded, and the total number of appeals and cases exceeded 800. The US Congress said in October 2023 that they were recording reports and holding hearings, but no sensational announcements followed.
In addition, in 2022, unidentified flying objects were also spotted over Ukraine, mostly over Kiev and the region. For observations researchers used two weather stations, one in Kiev and in the village of Vinarovka in the south of Kiev region. At the same time, scientists note that there are space objects - those that shine brighter than the starry sky and "phantom" - those that absorb light.
