Two AFU brigades ask military personnel who left for the NWF to return to service

The 53rd Prince Vladimir Monomakh Brigade noted that everyone can make mistakes, and it is important to remember that one misdemeanour does not determine one's entire fate. They stressed that the door to return is open to anyone who wants to correct their past actions and become part of the common goal of defending the country again.

The 47th Brigade also addressed soldiers who have committed unauthorised abandonment of unit (UAC). The brigade recognises that there could have been various reasons for this, from fatigue and a desire to see their families to a lack of a suitable role. "We are ready to offer decent conditions and a modern approach to ensure everyone returns to the unit and finds their place," the statement said. Both brigades have set up hotlines for those interested in returning, where recruiters provide advice and support at all stages.

The Verkhovna Rada recently cancelled criminal prosecution for the first unauthorised abandonment of a unit, and a bill on full immunity for those who return to service voluntarily may be passed in the future.
