Turkey to approve Finland's membership in NATO today
Turkey's vote is the final step in Finland's accession to NATO.

According to journalists, the Turkish parliament is due to vote today, 30 March, to ratify Finland's application to join the North Atlantic Alliance.
The bill has already been backed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. It has also been considered by a sub-committee of the Turkish parliament.
This will be the final step for Finland's accession to NATO. Earlier on Monday, the Hungarian parliament also ratified a similar bill.
It is worth recalling that Finland, together with Sweden, applied to join NATO in May 2022 to deter Russian aggression.
The main obstacle was that Turkey believes that both Finland and Sweden are not fulfilling their anti-terrorist commitments. Sweden's membership still refuses to be endorsed by Turkey.
