Three sappers blown up by Russian mine in Kherson region
A group of explosive technicians working in the Kherson region blew themselves up on a Russian mini.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to him, the injured sappers were engaged in humanitarian demining of the region from the organisation "The HALO Trust".
the 24-year-old guy received severe wounds to the head and neck. He is now undergoing surgery. Doctors are doing everything possible to save the victim's life," Prokudin said.
He noted that two more men, aged 32 and 31, received splinter wounds. They are receiving the necessary medical care.
According to the State Emergency Situations Service, 30 per cent of Ukraine's territories are contaminated with explosive objects. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, local administrations have regularly reported cases of civilians being blown up by explosive devices. In particular, in Mykolaiv Region, a man died while swimming in the sea.
