The UN called the number of dead Ukrainian civilians since the beginning of the war
Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 5,327 civilians have died and 7,035 have been injured.
The report was submitted to the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
The majority of recorded civilian casualties were caused by the use of large-scale explosive weapons, including heavy artillery and multiple rocket launcher attacks, as well as rocket and air strikes, the report said.
From the UN report, it is also known about at least 908 children who became victims, 348 children died. Most of the dead in Luhansk and Donetsk regions: 6849 victims, 3089 of which died.
The UN also records 5423 victims of Russian aggression in Kyiv and the region, in the region and regional centers: Cherkassy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Nikolaev, Odessa, Sumy, Zaporozhye, Dnieper, Poltava, Rivne, Vinnitsa, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr.
The UN believes that the actual figures are much higher, as there are difficulties in obtaining data from places where there has been or is being intense fighting.
