The real face of "honoring veterans": the occupiers stole the military awards of a World War II participant
With the joint efforts of citizens, intelligence officers and museum workers, the awards stolen by the "liberators" were returned to the veteran of the Second World War.
This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian intelligence.
The other day, representatives of the National Military History Museum of Ukraine turned to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, to which caring citizens handed over the found awards and personal belongings stolen by Russian invaders in one of the settlements of the Kyiv region.
During the check, military intelligence officers found that the awards belong to a deceased veteran of the Second World War, who worked for a long time in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and had departmental awards. After that, a meeting of one of the relatives of the veteran with museum workers was organized and the awards stolen by the "liberators" were returned to the family.
Employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine sincerely thank all concerned citizens for their help in returning memorabilia and awards stolen by the "first looting army of the world" to Ukrainians, the intelligence service added.
