The occupiers shelled a school building where people from flooded houses were gathering.
This was reported by Oleshek mayor Yevhen Ryshchuk.
At least three people are now known to have been injured in Kherson Region: a civilian woman, a policeman and a rescuer. All are being provided with necessary assistance," the Interior Ministry said.
Locals under shelling are trying to evacuate from near Kherson.
The shelling began precisely during the evacuation of citizens whose homes were flooded. A video posted by a local resident shows a shell hitting a multi-storey house.
