The IMF has a disappointing outlook for the global economy

The International Monetary Fund says that next year the risks of a global recession will increase. This, in turn, could lead to a global crisis.

Countries must do everything in their power to bring down high inflation...because sustained high inflation could hamper the recovery and further worsen living standards, especially for the vulnerable," said Kristalina Georgieva, head of the International Monetary Fund.

The head of the IMF stressed that richer countries must provide urgent support to those in need to avoid further hunger, malnutrition and migration.
