A social media report about the alleged 108 dead in one of the brigades near Avdiivka on Christmas Eve is a fake, the General Staff has said.
Ukrainian political analyst Vitaliy Bala has published a report on social media about the deaths of 108 Ukrainian fighters who allegedly drew lots and were allowed to go home for the holidays. This information was denied by the General Staff.
Bala said that in one of the brigades near Avdeevka they decided to allow some of the soldiers to go home for the Christmas holidays. They chose them by lot. It is reported that the fighters got on the buses, but did not make it.
