The EU Delegation to Ukraine has returned to Kyiv

The Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine has resumed work in the capital.

This is stated in the message of the representative office on Twitter.

The EU has returned to Kyiv, the message says, illustrated with a photo of the EU flag on a flagpole near the representative office at 101 Volodymyrska Street.

The EU Delegation was evacuated to Polish Rzeszow shortly after the start of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

On April 9, the press service of the European External Action Service in Brussels announced the decision to return the EU diplomatic mission to Kyiv again:

We were the last to leave Kyiv and will be one of the first to return.

As you know, on the eve of the full-scale invasion of Russia, as well as after it began on February 24, a number of embassies left Kyiv. Representatives of Slovenia, the Baltic countries and Turkey were among the first to return.
