The enemy attacked Kiev: many wounded, there are dead, residential buildings in almost all districts were damaged

As a result of the shelling, three people were killed and 26 injured, among them a pregnant woman and a child.

At 7:20 am, the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko said that the number of victims has increased.

9 people were hospitalised, including a pregnant woman. The rest were treated on the spot, - said the mayor.

The State Emergency Situations Service confirmed the death of one person and said that their units had rescued more than 40 people during the liquidation of the consequences of the Russian attack.

Later, the mayor clarified: according to preliminary data, there are three dead, rescuers can not yet get the bodies.

The injured 26, among them children 7 and 10 years old.

The most serious consequences were recorded in Desnyanskyi district. Here, as a result of a fire in a multi-storey building at the level of 5-8 floors, a person was killed, according to clarified data, the victim was an elderly woman. Brigades of the State Emergency Service rescued 14 residents from the house, including one child, and unblocked one more person from under the rubble. At another address in the same neighbourhood there was a fire on the seventh floor, from where 9 people were rescued and 50 more evacuated.

In Dniprovsky district rescuers liquidated the fire of two flats in a five-storey building, from where 17 people were rescued. The 19th and 21st floors of another building were also destroyed, and on the territory of the sports base the fire engulfed 200 square metres of wooden houses.

In Podilsky district, a missile hit a multi-storey building at the level of the 15th floor, from where rescuers rescued 13 people.

In Obolonsky district debris struck a 9-storey residential building, which led to the fire of flats from 7 to 9 floors on an area of about 100 square metres. Rescuers rescued one person and extinguished the fire.

In Solomensky district rescuers extinguished the fire on the roof and the fifth floor of a residential building. Rescued 20 people.

In Svyatoshinsky district recorded a hit in a residential building at the level of the seventh floor. In a 22-storey residential building burned flats at the level of the 19th floor.

In Goloseevsky district debris fell on the territory of the hospital. At another address the fire in the building on the area of 15 square metres was eliminated.

In Darnytskyi district there was a fire on the territory of the school, and in Shevchenko district - in the open area.

The attack was preceded by the announcement of a large-scale air alert throughout Ukraine due to the take-off of Russian MiG-31K fighters - carriers of aeroballistic missiles "Kinzhal" and a large number of attack UAVs.

Already at 00:42, the AFU Air Force warned about the movement of high-speed targets in the direction of Kiev. At 00:57, the military reported ballistic missile launches from Russia's Bryansk Region in the direction of the Ukrainian capital.
