The end of the era of "pixel": The AFU is switching to camouflage copying Multicam

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing to change the standard uniform: the new MM-25 pattern will be used instead of the MM-14 camouflage known as "pixel". According to official information, this decision was approved by the Central Directorate of Material Development, and the camouflage itself will be used for the production of items of clothing equipment,Militarny reports.

Although the appearance of the uniform is not officially disclosed, dedicated military resources report that the MM-25 is an adaptation of the popular Multicam military pattern developed in the US and widely used by NATO armies.

The timing of the large-scale uniform replacement is not specified. Given the size of the Ukrainian army, the transition to the new standard may take several years. It is also not reported when exactly the first sets of MM-25 will be delivered to the troops.

At the same time, it became known that NATO and the USA signed an agreement that will allow European countries to buy American weapons for Ukraine for up to 10bn dollars. It is planned that the alliance members will transfer weapons from their own stocks to Ukraine and then compensate for them with supplies from the USA. According to the new NATO secretary-general, Mark Rutte, Ukraine will receive a significant number of air defence systems, missiles and ammunition.
