The "DNR" sentenced a Ukrainian defender of Mariupol to life imprisonment
Occupiers sentenced Mariupol defender Olesandr Svynarchuk to life imprisonment.
The occupants of the "Donetsk people's republic" have sentenced a Ukrainian prisoner of war, the commander of a company of the 36th Independent Marine Brigade, Oleksandr Svynarchuk, to life imprisonment. This is reported by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.
The so-called "supreme court of the DNR" found 28-year-old Alexander Svynarchuk guilty of allegedly killing civilians in Mariupol.
The AFU prisoner of war was sentenced to life imprisonment, with the sentence to be served in a special regime colony.
The occupiers first convicted a Ukrainian military officer in early November 2023.
Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reacted to the conviction of the Ukrainian military in captivity and wrote that they were being tried on far-fetched articles.
