The Defence Forces said about enemy activity along the border of Chernihiv region
Russia increases military pressure on the border of Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
An active military presence of Russian troops is recorded on the border of Chernihiv Region. This was reported by Vadym Mysnyk, speaker of the Seversk task force, on the air of a telethon. According to him, the Russian forces deliberately keep the Ukrainian units in tension to prevent them from moving to other parts of the front.
At the same time, the main activity of the enemy is observed opposite Sumy region, in particular - in the Russian Kursk region. A significant number of personnel are concentrated here and intensive shelling is recorded.
Military expert Ivan Stupak believes that the goal of the occupants may be to approach Sumy in order to systematically shell it and create conditions under which local residents will be forced to leave the city.
As for Kharkiv Region, there are no reliable confirmations of the advance of Russian troops there. Fighting continues, but no enemy successes have been recorded in this direction so far.
Meanwhile, Pavlo Lakiychuk, head of security programmes at the Strategy XXI Globalist Centre, warns that although the offensive in Sumy region is still limited to tactical actions, the situation may change. According to him, up to 60,000 Russian military personnel, including marines and paratroopers - some of the most combat-ready units of the Russian Federation - are concentrated in the border areas of Kursk and Belgorod regions.
