The city council adopted a new program to provide housing for those in need

On July 14, the Kyiv City Council approved the City Target Program for Providing Housing to Citizens in Need of Improved Housing Conditions for 2022-2024.

The implementation of the program will provide Kiev residents with decent living conditions and reduce the housing queue in the capital.

The city council says that the city target program includes six measures covering different categories of citizens and having their own financing mechanisms:

  • provision of social housing to citizens who need to improve their living conditions and have the right to receive it, including orphans, children deprived of parental care, and persons from among them;
  • providing citizens with affordable housing;
  • providing citizens with temporary housing;
  • providing citizens in need of better housing conditions with housing with the involvement of mortgage housing loans;
  • financial and credit support for youth to provide housing;
  • provision of housing for rent with a purchase.
