Syrskyy says Ukrainian troops counterattack enemy in Bakhmut
Ukrainian troops forced the Russians to abandon some of their positions in Bakhmut.
This was reported by the commander of the Eastern Group of Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyy, in a commentary to the Military Media Center media platform of the Defence Forces.
According to Syrskyy, Ukrainian troops counterattacked the enemy and forced the Russians to abandon some of their positions.
In order to advance, the enemy uses maximum efforts and does not count for anything. Despite significant losses, new Wagner assault groups, fighters from other private companies and paratroopers are constantly rushed into the battle. But the enemy is unable to take control of the town (Bakhmut - ed.). The situation is rather complicated. At the same time, in some parts of the city the enemy was counterattacked by our units and abandoned some positions.
In addition, in the Limansky direction, the Ukrainians repulsed the last numerous assaults of the Russians. The Russians suffered casualties and 10 invaders were taken prisoner.
