Details of a missile strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Moskva cruiser revealed

We shall remind you that the cruiser Moskva, the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, sank on 14 April. The Ukrainian Armed Forces said that the cruiser had been attacked by two Neptun anti-ship missiles.

"Ukrainska Pravda" reports:

on April 13 at around 4pm, the Neptun complex operator received data that there was a large target 120 kilometres off the coast. The publication writes that normally radar does not detect targets at such a distance, but that day there were dense clouds over the sea, which caused the radar signal to reflect from them to the water surface and back.

Also, a UP source said:

"We had no over-the-horizon radar at the time of the invasion and Russia knew it, but because the clouds were very low and there was nowhere for the signal to escape from this corridor between the water and the clouds, the radar suddenly reached the Moskva."

Also, one of the publication's sources spoke about the allies' share of the successful strike on the cruiser:

"We have data from several dozen satellites. The problem was not to find the Moskva, but to get to her.

The UP also reports that Ukrainian military circles are sceptical about the excessive exaggeration of the allies' role.
