The US has not issued visas to Russian journalists. The Russian Foreign Ministry said this "will not be forgotten, will not be forgiven"

The Russian journalists were due to fly to New York with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

The United States has refused to issue visas to Russian journalists who were to accompany Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to the UN General Assembly. This was reported by the Russian media.

Lavrov, who flew to the United States without his own press, had already announced at the airport before taking off that he would "not forget or forgive" this to the Americans.

I was, of course, aware of how notorious our American colleagues are for this sort of thing, but I was sure that this time things would be different, given the attention that had been brought to their outrageous behaviour. I was wrong. The country that calls itself the strongest, smartest, freest, fairest has chickened out, - Lavrov said, commenting on the situation.

His deputy, Sergey Ryabkov, called the situation outrageous.

The TASS news agency, citing a Russian diplomatic source, reported that "US journalists will experience maximum discomfort after Russian journalists were not granted visas."

Note that in Russia, the concept of journalism has long been replaced by propaganda and outright lies.
