Syrsky talks about the situation on the Bakhmut front

Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyy, commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this in a commentary to Military Media Center.

According to the colonel-general, the situation is "stably difficult".

The most intense phase of fighting for Bakhmut is ongoing. The situation is stably difficult. The enemy is suffering significant losses in human resources, weapons and military equipment, but continues to conduct offensive operations. Our defenders heroically hold back the enemy invasion in extremely hard conditions, and do not give the enemy a chance to realize their plans.

Alexander Syrsky told us that the military command calculates all possible scenarios.

The defence of Bakhmut is driven by military necessity and based on the competent use of the city's defensive capabilities, erected fortifications and equipped firing installations.

In addition, it has taken a number of operational decisions aimed at enhancing its ability to deter and defeat the invaders.
