Deadly summer: because of the unprecedented heat in Spain killed thousands of people

Last summer was the last for many people in Spain.

Last summer literally killed about 4,600 Spaniards with its high temperatures. This is a rather frightening figure, given that such a mass extinction from high temperatures was recorded in Spain in 2017. Then 2,800 people living in the country died from the heat. The high mortality due to the weather is reported by Europa Press with reference to the Carlos III Institute of Health.

The scientists noted that they analyzed heatwaves and mortality in the region and concluded that of the 20,291 deaths in Spain that occurred in June, July and August, 4,655 were due to excessive heat.

Most deaths due to abnormally high temperatures over the summer were in the autonomous community of Madrid (1,292), followed by Castile and León (576) and Catalonia (575).

Meanwhile, in Ukraine on Saturday , September 3, a rainy day is expected, and in some places even thunderstorms will pass. The average air temperature in the country is about 18 degrees Celsius. The warmest day will be in the south. It's up to 27 degrees there, but it's still rainy. It is cold on Saturday - in the west and in the center of the country.
