Scholz says what will be the "red line" in the war between Russia and Ukraine
Europe does not rule out the possibility of a nuclear conflict.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has named a "red line" which Russia should not cross in a military conflict. According to the German politician, it could be the use of nuclear weapons by the Russian Federation in Ukraine, Tagesschau has said. Scholz urged Moscow to refrain from such a step:
It is unacceptable to use nuclear weapons in this conflict
The German politician urged the Kremlin to promise that it would not do so
Scholz also explained his talks with Chinese leader Xi Jinping by saying that he used the trip to persuade Chinese politicians to oppose the use of nuclear weapons during the war in Ukraine.
