Security measures will be strengthened in the Kiev metro
The KGVA does not rule out attempts by enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups to penetrate the city.
The capital's metro will strengthen control at stations, including installing metal detectors. This is stated in the decision of the Kyiv Defence Council of 28.03.2024.
As evidenced by the published document, the communal enterprise Kyiv Metro was instructed to strengthen control measures at entrances/exits from stations, in particular with the use of hand-held metal detectors. Also, the company should ensure the inspection of video surveillance systems, firefighting and first aid equipment.
According to the decision of the Defence Council of Kiev, also in the city should be limited measures involving a significant number of people and increased attention to places where people congregate, in particular, in shopping malls and public transport.
The occasion for the meeting of the Kyiv Defence Council was the latest statements of the leaders of the aggressor country regarding their intentions to increase the number of missile attacks aimed at civilian objects and peaceful citizens of Ukraine and Kyiv in particular.
The KGBA does not rule out attempts to penetrate the territory of the city by sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the enemy, involvement of agents of Russian special services and other hostile elements to destabilise the situation in the capital.
Among other things, the military in the capital will monitor social networks for the spread of disinformation, provocations and other information aimed at destabilising the situation in the capital.
Residents of the city are asked to keep calm.
