Scotland temporarily stopped accepting Ukrainian refugees
This decision was made by the local government due to the fact that there were too many applicants

This is a government program under which citizens of Ukraine, receiving a British visa, could choose Scotland as a sponsor. What is the role of the sponsor? The sponsor must provide free housing to refugees.
Scotland is faced with an influx of Ukrainians who are traveling in search of salvation from the war. And the thing is that the country now lacks housing that could be provided for the use of refugees. However, the government ensures that those who have already arrived or will arrive in Scotland in the coming months will definitely receive the proper support.
So, more than 4,000 out of 7,000 Ukrainians who arrived in Scotland have already received housing under the “super sponsorship scheme”. A total of 21,256 visas were issued with a Scottish sponsor.
