SBU exposes recidivist who worked for the FSB from prison
According to the SBU materials, a recidivist, who worked for the FSB for the sake of exchange, will spend another 16 years in prison.
This was reported by the SBU press centre.
It is reported that this way the prisoner tried to "show off" to the enemy intelligence service so that he could be included in the exchange lists for helping the aggressor.
It is documented that during March-April 2022, using his own connections at large, he "leaked" to the Russian secret service the locations of the Defence Forces near Bakhmut," the report says.
The main informants of the prisoner were his acquaintances from the criminal circles of the Donetsk region, with whom he covertly communicated by mobile phone.
All the information he received was remotely transferred to a representative of the FSB, who was in temporarily occupied Crimea.
For such cooperation, the Russian security service "guaranteed" to put him on the exchange list for Ukrainian prisoners.
The SBU officers stopped his criminal activity - documented illegal actions and in April this year reported him on suspicion of treason.
Based on the materials of the SBU, the court sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment. Taking into account the fact that the attacker has one more year of imprisonment for previous offences, he will spend a total of 16 years in prison.
The attacker turned out to be a resident of Donetsk Region, who had been serving a sentence in the Toretska penal colony for drug trafficking since 2021.
After the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he was transferred to one of the penitentiary institutions in Chernivtsi region.
Based on the evidence collected by the Security Service, the court found the attacker guilty under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
