SBU officers suspect the management of SE "Antonov" of involvement in the destruction of the AN-225 "Mriya"

The investigators found that the officials did not take appropriate measures to preserve the aircraft, despite the reservation of the state authorities. Also, individual employees of the enterprise for a long time prevented the Defense Forces from organizing air defense and ground protection of the airfield. All this led to the destruction of the AN-225 and several aircraft.

Now experts are studying the evidence and details of the case, conducting the necessary examinations. After that, procedural decisions will be made.

In addition, the investigators discovered another crime of the former general director Antonov. According to the investigation, in March of this year, the official submitted to the State Border Service a list of employees traveling abroad for aircraft maintenance. But he included outsiders in the business trip. Among them is his close relative. Thus, evaders were able to cross the border under the guise of aviation specialists.
