SBU finds weapons caches in Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk region

The SBU military counterintelligence service has located two more hidden caches of weapons and ammunition in frontline areas in southern and eastern Ukraine.

Shots for Grad multiple rocket launchers and Russian-made grenade launchers, as well as Russian anti-personnel mines, which are prohibited by international law, were found in weapons caches, the SBU press centre has said. About it reports the press centre of the SBU.

In Kherson, SBU officers found a weapons cache located on the territory of an abandoned building of a local private enterprise.

The weapons cachewas arranged by Russian invaders for the period of temporary occupation of the city. During the inspection of the cache more than 30 mortar and anchor river mines, 30 grenade launchers were found.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, the SBU found a cache with military means of destruction in one of the private houses in the village of Novopetrovskoye in Mezhevsky district.

From the cache seized:

  • 15 anti-personnel mines;
  • almost 200 TNT pellets with electric detonators;
  • a Russian Tavolga-1 rocket-propelled assault grenade;
  • more than 11,000 rounds of ammunition of various calibres.

All the seized means of destruction were sent for expertise for their further transfer to the AFU.
