SBU liquidated 3 channels used by "evaders" to travel abroad

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has uncovered three more schemes of illegal cordon crossing by men of conscription age in three regions. They helped evaders in Kiev, Lviv and Rivne regions.

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

A total of four organisers of illegal border crossings were detained. The criminals regularly helped citizens of conscription age to flee abroad for forged documents.

Such "services" businessmen estimated from 2.5 to 5 thousand dollars. The amount fluctuated depending on the place of residence of the client and the urgency of his departure to a foreign country, the report says.

Kiev

In the capital, the attacker offered those wishing to go abroad under the guise of volunteers. He used connections in charitable foundations and entered "clients" in the system "Shlyakh" as drivers of humanitarian cargo.

During the search at the address of his residence, a police badge, which was thought to be lost, was found. The attacker used it in illegal activities, the SBU added.

Lviv region

Organised a channel of illegal migration former lawyer. He "guaranteed" unhindered border crossing on the basis of forged documents. Thus military conscripts left under the guise of a member of a public organisation that transports humanitarian aid.

Rivne region

Two malefactors were detained here, who were engaged in fictitious employment of men of conscription age. They were given the position of drivers in a local firm of international transportations.

At present, the organisers of criminal activity is put on suspicion under part 3 of article 332 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine), - said in the message.

Pre-trial investigation to establish all the circumstances of the offences continues. The suspects face up to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property.
