The SBU has detained a girlfriend of the head of the "people's council of the DNR" who planned to become a shop assistant in a frontline shop to spy for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The SBU has detained another informant of the Russian military intelligence in Donetsk Region. This was reported by the SBU.

On the instructions of the aggressor, the woman collected intelligence on the deployment and movement of Ukrainian troops near Bakhmut. Most of all the enemy was interested in the coordinates of key strongholds and firing positions of the AFU units involved in combat operations on the eastern front, - reported in the special service.

In the course of documenting the crimes, it became known that she knows and periodically communicates with the head of the so-called "people's council of the DNR" Artem Zhoga. In telephone conversations, she boasted to him that she was cooperating with Russian intelligence.

To maximise intelligence gathering, she planned to get a job as a saleswoman in a local shop near the Ukrainian defenders' unit," the SBU said.

SBU officers exposed the hostile intentions of the figurehead and detained her in her own home. The detainee turned out to be a resident of Kramatorsk, who in social networks supported the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

Investigators of the SBU informed the figure of suspicion under part 7 of article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaboration activities). The attacker is in custody. She faces up to 15 years in prison.
