The stolen boats were labelled with the letter "Z" and used to ferry their troops and representatives of the occupation authorities to the left-bank part of the region.
Running away from the AFU, the occupants did not take their accomplice with them. Therefore, he went to his relatives in Mykolayiv region, where he tried to escape from justice, - reported in the SBU.
SBU officers established the whereabouts of the figurehead and detained him. He turned out to be a 44-year-old Khersonian, who had supported the occupiers since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
The detainee was reported on suspicion under part 1 of article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (aiding and abetting the aggressor state). Now the attacker is in custody. He faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
