Demining operators of the mechanised demining department of the State Emergency Service learn to operate a Digger D-250 demining machine.

State Emergency Service engineers are mastering a new technique Digger D-250 for demining. This is reported by the State Emergency Service.

The robotic technique has remote control and can work at a distance of half a kilometre from the operator. This makes the process safe for deminers, as well as faster and more efficient, - stated in the message.

After the exercise, the deminers of the State Emergency Service will go to the de-occupied territories of Ukraine to demine settlements from unexploded ordnance.

Special equipment for the State Emergency Service engineers was donated by the Digger Foundation and Vanforlife organisations.
