Sales of radiation meters and preparations with iodine increased in Russia

Cumulative sales of dosimeters in Russia for measuring radiation at Ozon and Wildberries increased by 161% compared to July.
This is reported by the Russian media.
On the Russian marketplaces of Ozon and Wildberries in the spring and summer of 2022, sales of potassium iodide, which is taken to protect against radiation, as well as devices for measuring radiation levels, increased several times.
Thus, on the Ozon and Wildberries marketplaces, sales of potassium iodide and preparations containing it grew by 103% in April compared to March 2022, by 40% in May compared to April, and by 42% in July compared to June.
In addition, from August 1 to August 22, the total sales of radiation dosimeters at Ozon and Wildberries increased by 161% compared to July.
