Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote about it in his Telegram channel:
A frankly atrocious Russian aerial bomb strike on the village of Yarovaya in Donetsk region. Right on people. Ordinary civilian people. At a time when pensions were being handed out. The death toll is reported to be over 20 people. There are no words... Condolences to all the families and friends of the victims.
Zelensky urged the international community not to leave this act of atrocity unanswered, he called for decisive steps by the USA, Europe to put pressure on Russia.
The head of the Donetsk regional administration, Vadym Filashkin, said that 21 people were reported dead and called Russia's actions pure terrorism.
