Russians control four villages in Sumy region - OVA

In Sumy Region, four border villages are under Russian control, fighting continues.

As of 26 May, enemy troops control four border settlements on the territory of Sumy Region. This was reported by the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Oleh Hryhorov.

We are talking about the villages of Novenkoye and Basovka in Yunakivka community, as well as Veselovka and Zhuravka in Khotyn community. According to the authorities, the residents of these villages were evacuated in advance, so there is no threat to the civilian population.

Grigorov specified that the Russian troops keep trying to advance in order to create a so-called buffer zone. Active hostilities are taking place in the vicinity of the villages of Vodologi, Vladimirovka, Belovoda, Konstantinovka and Kondratovka in the Khotyn community, as well as in the area of Lokni in the Yunakovo community.

He stressed that the Ukrainian Defence Forces were controlling the situation on the front, delivering precise strikes to the enemy and preventing its advance deep into the region.
