Russian troops shell hotel in Kharkiv region, infant killed
A three-storey hotel building was destroyed, with people under the rubble.
Russian troops launched missile strikes on the central part of the village of Zolochev in Bogodukhov district of Kharkiv Region on the night of 6 February. This was reported by the State Emergency Situations Service.
As a result, a three-storey hotel building was destroyed. Under the rubble were people. Three women were saved. Unfortunately, died an infant - a two-month-old boy, - reported the rescuers.
There was also a fire in a nearby two-storey building. As of 06:30 the fire on 230 square metres has been liquidated.
Now the rescue work continues. The State Emergency Service has attracted 40 rescuers and 7 units of equipment.
The police said that rescuers recovered the boy's body from under the rubble. He was 2 months old on 4 February. Three civilian women, aged 21, 28 and 39, were taken to hospital with injuries of varying severity.
As a result of enemy shelling in Zolochev 30 buildings were damaged and completely destroyed, including private houses, shops, cafes, pharmacies, market, trade pavilions, power grids, five civilian cars and a hotel.
Households, shops, commercial premises, a pension fund building, power grids and cars were damaged.
