Russian shelling caused five fires in Mykolaiv region
Five fires broke out as a result of falling ammunition and debris. The total area of the fires was more than 100 hectares.
Five fires broke out in Mykolaiv Region on 8 July as a result of Russian shelling. This was reported by the State Emergency Situations Service.
Russian occupants shelled Mykolaiv Region during the day on 8 July. Every district of the region was under attack.
As a result of the fall of ammunition and their debris five fires broke out.
Traditionally, the "military objects" destroyed by the enemy over the past 24 hours were residential houses, outbuildings, dry wood, crop residues, - reported in the State Emergency Service.
The total area of fires was more than 100 hectares. The fire destroyed 2 unused buildings, 11 outbuildings, summer kitchen. A residential house and 2 outbuildings were damaged.
Firefighters rescued 5 residential houses and 5 outbuildings.
In total, more than 50 firefighters and 12 special vehicles were involved in extinguishing fires after the shelling.
Local fire brigade units, local entrepreneurs and farmers who provided equipment for water delivery helped in extinguishing the fires.
Earlier Socialportal reported that on 8 July Russian troops conducted a massive shelling of Ukraine. A number of districts in Kiev came under fire, including the country's main children's hospital Okhmatdet.
