In Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, a local resident left an inscription in the snow asking for bread.
The operator of a UAV of one of the subdivisions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dropped food from the drone to a woman.
About this case told in the 3rd border detachment named after the Hero of Ukraine Colonel Eugene Pikus, writes UP.Zhyttya.
During the survey of the area with the help of a drone 19-year-old pilot of the unit "Phoenix" Maxim with the call sign "Malyuk" saw near one of the houses an inscription in the snow - "Please bread".
It was made by a grandmother. She wrote not in the direction of the Russian Federation, but in ours. She was asking for us," says the military man.
He took a photograph of the inscription and asked his superiors for permission to help the woman. After receiving consent, Maxim dropped bread and biscuits to the grandmother from the drone.
Later, a new inscription appeared on the snow near the house - "Thank you".
Now it is no longer possible to evacuate the woman, as Konstantinovka is a buffer zone.
Maksim joined the Phoenix unit in April 2025 after undergoing basic general military training. He operates Mavic and Matrix UAVs, with the help of which he conducts reconnaissance and identifies occupants.
