Russian Federation launched a fake about the border of Dnipropetrovsk region: official response of the authorities

Information about the alleged withdrawal of Russian troops to the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk Region is a fake aimed at destabilising the situation. This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, in his official Telegram channel.

This is a fake! Both this 'news' and the photo that supposedly illustrates it. They do not correspond to reality. They were deliberately published by the enemy to frighten the residents of our region, sow panic and destabilise the situation," Lysak stressed.

He urged the residents of the region to remain calm and trust only official sources of information.

Earlier, Russian military bloggers and propaganda resources spread statements about Russian troops allegedly crossing the administrative border between Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions near Novonikolayevka.

However, according to the DeepState analytical project, Russian forces have indeed advanced close to the border, coming up to 2 kilometres from it, but no crossing of the line has been recorded yet.

Earlier, the deputy head of the Presidential Office, Pavel Palisa, warned of a possible intensification of offensive actions by the Russian Federation in late April and May. According to him, the enemy may pay special attention to the Pokrovskyy direction, as well as to the frontline sections in the areas of Kupyansk (Kharkiv Region), Liman (Donetsk Region), Zaporizhzhya and Novopavlovka.

The Ukrainian authorities continue to monitor the situation on the front line and urge citizens not to panic in response to information provocations.
