Russia hit Kharkiv with "Shaheds": more than 20 injured already
Large-scale drone attack on Kharkiv: 27 people were injured, among them children.
In the morning of 7 July, Russian forces struck Kharkiv with Shahed-type attack drones. As a result of the attack, according to the latest data, 27 people were injured, including three children. This was reported by the mayor of the city Igor Terekhov, reports RBC-Ukraine.
The first blow fell on the Shevchenkovsky and Slobodsky districts. In one of the multi-storey buildings of Shevchenkivsky district there was a fire on the ninth floor. Subsequently, a hit was recorded in a building in Slobodsky district, where civilian facilities and a kindergarten were damaged. One of the injured is a three-year-old girl.
According to the Kharkiv regional military administration, rescuers are working at the site. The injured were taken to hospitals, three of them in a condition of medium severity.
The attack continued even after the first strikes: repeated drone launches in the direction of Pyatihatok were recorded. The townspeople were warned about possible new explosions.
General drone attack on Ukraine
On the night of 7 July, the Russian army launched a series of strikes on various regions of Ukraine using Shahed-type drones. According to the press service of the Ukrainian Naval Forces, 15 enemy kamikaze drones were shot down by air defence forces. Odessa region was also under attack, explosions were heard in the city.
The military notes that it continues joint actions with other units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces to destroy threats on land, at sea and in the air. As of the morning of 7 July, no enemy ships had been detected in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
