Russia has lost half of its tanks in Ukraine
The Pentagon sees Ukraine as a "major strategic failure" for the Kremlin.
This was stated by Colin Kahl, deputy head of the Pentagon, quoted by CNN.
They may have lost half of their main battle tanks in the entire Russian army. More than 80% of their ground forces are bogged down in Ukraine. They have used up most of their high-precision ammunition in Ukraine, and sanctions and export controls will make it very difficult to restore their armed forces to what they were before the war
Kahl believes that Ukraine has become a "major strategic failure" for the Kremlin and that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has failed.
The Pentagon spokesman also noted that Russia has suffered tens of thousands of casualties since the start of the big war in February, orders of magnitude more than the USSR suffered during the 1979-1989 war in Afghanistan
