Russians mine critical infrastructure in occupied Zaporizhzhya region
Occupiers booby-trapped water pipes and energy facilities in Melitopol district
This was reported by Melitopol mayor Ivan Fedorov.
He also said that the enemy was not going to retreat from temporarily occupied Melitopol. Additional reserves have been recently brought to the city:
The occupiers continue to place their own equipment and personnel in civilian infrastructure, right in the middle of residential areas of the city. In particular, they have recently positioned themselves in a church, a kindergarten and a shelter for minors," Fedorov said.
The mayor also reports that invaders have mined critical infrastructure in the occupied part of Zaporizhzhya Region:
- In Melitopol district, a water pipeline that supplies drinking water to the city has been mined;
- In Melitopol itself, important power grid facilities have been mined;
- At Zaporizhzhya NPP, mine-blast barriers have been installed in technical rooms and machine rooms.
