Russia banned Johnson from visiting Russia
In Russia, the actions of the British authorities are regarded as hostile.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs imposed sanctions against the UK. So, the Russian Federation banned entry to almost the entire government of the United Kingdom. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry .
This step was taken as a response to London's unbridled information and political campaign aimed at isolating Russia internationally, creating conditions for containing our country and strangling the domestic economy, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The list of those banned from entering Russia includes Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Attorney General Dominic Raab, Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss, Defense Secretary Ben Wallace, Transportation Secretary Grant Shapps, Home Secretary Priti Patel, Finance Minister Rishi Sunak.
As well as Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Industrial Strategy Kwazi Kwarteng, Minister for Digitalisation, Culture, Media and Sport Nadine Dorries, Undersecretary for Defense James Hippie, First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon, Attorney General for England and Wales Swella Braverman and Conservative MP, former Prime Minister British Minister Theresa May.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the British leadership "deliberately aggravates the situation around Ukraine, pumping the Kyiv regime with lethal weapons and coordinating similar efforts from NATO."
Also, the Russian department noted that London "strongly pushes not only its Western allies, but also other countries to introduce large-scale anti-Russian sanctions."
