Russia attacked Zhytomyr region with kamikaze drones
Russian occupiers attacked one of the infrastructure facilities in Zhytomyr region with Iranian kamikaze drones Shahed
The debris of the downed drone partially damaged an infrastructure facility and a railway track. There were no casualties.
This was reported by the chairman of the Zhytomyr OVA, Vitaliy Bunechko.
According to him, the air defence forces shot down some of the aerial targets. A fire started, which was quickly extinguished. The place of the attack is being examined by the police, information on the extent of the damage is being clarified.
Also in Zhytomyr OVA reported that in connection with the elimination of the consequences of the night enemy shelling in Zhytomyrshchyna delayed trains:
- #54 Peremyshl - Kyiv up to 2 hours;
- no. 743 Darnitsa - Lviv up to 1 hour;
- no. 68 Warsaw - Kyiv up to 30 minutes.
All other 84 long-distance trains are on schedule.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that a total of 44 enemy air targets were recorded:
- 28 air-launched missiles of the Kh-101/X-555/X-55 type fired from 11 Tu-95ms strategic aviation aircraft from the Caspian Sea and Engels area.
- 16 Shahed-136/131-type strike UAVs from the southern and northern directions (Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk).
The defence forces destroyed 43 aerial targets within the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Odessa, Mykolayiv and Zhytomyr regions.
