Romania also wants to annex part of Ukraine
Romania may sacrifice NATO membership for the sake of annexing part of Ukraine.
The leader of the Romanian ACP party, Claudiu Târziu, has said that his country can claim a part of Ukraine and even for the sake of this, Bucharest is ready to sacrifice Romania's NATO membership, the Newsweek website has quoted him as saying.
At the same time, he said that his country should move closer to Russia.
I believe that it is necessary to unfreeze relations between Romania and Russia, I recognise the need for cooperation between Romania and Russia, I am ready to contribute to this, but only after Russia proves that it also wants all this," he said.
At the same time, he said that "the official position of the ACP is that NATO is just one of the 'empires' that 'we have to deal with' in order to grab pieces of Ukraine."
It is worth noting that Claudio Tyrziu had earlier told the Russians that he was "ready" to give them a high-five, days after a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
